So if you’re looking at this list and thinking that it’s maybe a bit much, you’re right. Book blogging takes a lot of work, buddy! I was going through my social media accounts for Truly Booked and realized that I have a ton of accounts. On top of that, I have more active accounts for this book blog than I do for my personal life.

I’ve been working to get more organized with my blogging again. Reviews used to roll out like a well-oiled machine. Unfortunately, working at a Marketing Agency means that sometimes your life just gets flipped upside down. And it doesn’t stop being upside down until either all the work is done or someone gets hired.

Neither thing happened in this case, but I’ve really missed reading and blogging.

So let’s take a look at what’s coming down the pipe:

New Blog Formats:

Basically, I’m making some changes to the blog format so far. The majority of my posts have been either reviews or lists and while those are great, they’re not always the most fun for me. I try to be fair in my reviews, but that means that my personality doesn’t get to shine through.

Starting in May, the blog will have both the reviews and regularly scheduled deviations including:
– Children’s Literature Retrospectives
– Queer Lit Focused Articles and Reviews
– Spoiler Talk
– Cover Love
– Booked I’m Hyped About
– State of the ARC
– Book Club

I’ll be testing out these new formats to see which ones stick and which ones don’t. Stay tuned to see how that works out.

New Posting schedule:

The posting schedule is pretty simple to figure out. One post per week, every week. I can go over that if I want, but I need to post at least once on the blog and Instagram once per week.

#bloggoals:

This is where the aspirational stuff comes in. Where would I like this blog to be in a year from now?

I’d like to get better at staging my instagram photos. You should see some of the bookstagram stuff that’s on Insta. It’s absolutely wild.

I’d like to start cutting through my backlog of books (ARCs first!)

But mostly, I think I’d like to get into a flow and be able to build a connection with all the bookish people who I know are out there.

I’ve already started commenting around on blog posts and meeting new people, so we’re well on our way.

    Certainly onto good tracks !

I, myself, apart of facebook and instagram maybe, have just stuck personal and blog account together xD less problem that way, all is snuggled in so I don’t have more than one account per site (tumblr don’t count; I just HATE signing in/off all the time, welp.)

starting low and progressly taking more posts is the best thing to do, so you don’t get to put things higher than you can reach.. and if you see you can easily take more, good !
